Weekend bicycle/music festival - May 27th & 28th, 2017
Pedaler's Jamboree is a music festival created for bicycle riders and non-riders alike! Get a ticket for a weekend bicycle ride full of adventure or a non-rider ticket for the Kemper Park festivities available in Boonville on May 27th!
Bicyclists start at Flat Branch Park from 7:30 am to 10 am in Columbia, MO. Flat Branch Park is located at 101 South 4th St, Columbia, MO. This is the beginning of the MKT trail which connects to the Katy Trail State Park.
For non-riders with ticket passes to the Kemper Park Festivities, gates open at 3 pm on Saturday, May 27th. Kemper Park is located at 757 3rd St, Boonville, MO behind the YMCA building. Cars will not be permitted in the park. Free street side parking will be located close to the YMCA building.
Bicyclists depart from Columbia, MO, on the morning of Saturday, May 27th. Drop off your overnight packs at check in and prepare for a weekend of relaxed bike riding, music, and fun. Enjoy the scenic views of the Katy Trail State Park as you ride on crushed limestone trails flanked by cliffs and the Missouri River. Stop at your convenience at a handful of locations to enjoy live music and entertainment. Bands will play throughout the day in communities across the trail.
The final destination, Boonville's awesome Kemper Park, will once again host the feature event with main stage music. Overnight camping at Kemper Park will be free for all registered riders! Hotel/motel accommodations are available at local establishments. There will be food available at restaurants throughout the town of Boonville as well as food vendors at Kemper Park.
Daily riding distances:
Columbia to Boonville: 30 miles (ramble out on Saturday, stumble back on Sunday)
What is included in registration:
Gear Transport of 2 bags to campsite (not hotels), compilation CD (with music from all the artists on the ride), Sag Support, Camping, A weekend full of music and entertainment.
Showers and such:
Showers available at the Boonville YMCA (located next to the festival/camping area). Facility open on Saturday, May 27. Showers offered beginning at 12pm and ending at 8:30pm. The cost for the shower is $5. There is no cost for showers for members of any YMCA (membership card must be current and presented at time of shower). Free shower for member only, not those in their “party”.The pool is open until 4:30 pm. Towels are not provided. YMCA closed on Sunday, May 28.
Free bus shuttle from the Kemper Park to the Boonville Hotels: There will be a free bus shuttle for registered particpants from Kemper Park to hotels starting at 4 pm on Saturday and ending at 11 pm. The bus will make a loop around town starting and finishing at the park. The next morning the bus will pick up patrons at the hotels starting at 7 am and ending at 9 am. Riders will need to pick up their gear at the park and transport it with them to the hotels. It will need to be dropped off at the designated pick up zone on Sunday morning by 10 am for transport back to Columbia.
Free shuttle service heading directly to the Isle of Capri and back - There will be a special free shuttle service taking riders from Kemper Park to the Isle of Capri from 3 pm - 2 am on Saturday, May 27th and from 7 am - 11am on Sunday, May 28th. The Isle of Capri will also be offering bike self-parking in the events center.
Bike Check Service at Kemper Park:
An overnight bike check service will be available at Kemper Park for $5 for those who wish to have their bike secured.
Shuttle Bus Ride back to Columbia:
There will be a limited number of seats available for shuttle back to Columbia on Sunday and Monday morning. Advanced reservations are available for $10/person. A limited number of seats will be available on Sunday morning for $10.
